Hello, and thanks for visiting my website. A bit about myself... My name is C. Enrique Ortiz but I go by Enrique. The "C" stands for Carlos. I am a Mobilist, for fun and profit. I'm a mobility enthusiast, practitioner, and professional, with many years of experience in end-to-end mobile computing. I'm a technologist at heart, a software architect and developer and blogger, who spends quite a bit of time with mobility technologies and their intersection with business goals.

I'm co-founder and CTO of eZee inc., a mobility company that specializes on advanced context-based mobile marketing platforms and applications, where I oversee the company's technology and products groups. I am founder and principal at Artemis Wireless Werks, a mobile strategy and services consulting company that has helped dozens of companies deliver their mobile products. I'm a vocal mobile evangelist, helped define the Java standards for mobile handsets, and am founding member of the Austin Wireless Alliance, the Austin chapter of Mobile Monday, Carnival of the Mobilists, and the Austin Bootstrap Network.s Mobile Subgroup. I also serve in the Board of Advisors of edioma.

I've over 18 years of engineering and management experience on behalf of IBM, Pervasive Software, AGEA, and Aligo. My past expertise lies in avionics software (Space Shuttle OS), embedded, robotics and image processing, multimedia streaming, large financial systems, and end-to-end mobility systems. I hold a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Puerto Rico.
